Marrakech-Menara airport is 30 minutes from Villa Azur on the Ourika Road. Rather than haggling with taxis outside the terminal after a flight, we arrange a private shuttle with Youssef, our driver. He knows the route, the journey is direct, and the price is agreed in advance: 300 dirhams one way, whatever the number of passengers or the arrival time.
How arrival works
Send us your flight number the day before you travel. Youssef tracks the actual flight time, not the scheduled one: if you are delayed, he waits, at no extra charge. He stands at the arrivals exit with a board bearing your name. You have nothing to search for, nothing to negotiate, and nothing to explain about where you are going.
The vehicle
An air-conditioned, well-maintained people carrier with room for the luggage of a family of four to six. Cold water on board, which is no small thing after a summer flight. Child seats and booster seats are provided free of charge, just tell us the children's ages when booking so they are fitted before you land.
The journey
Roughly 25 kilometres, 30 minutes of driving. You skirt Marrakech on the southern ring road then join the Ourika Road (P2017) heading southeast. The route bypasses the city centre and its traffic entirely, which makes the journey time very consistent, including at peak hours. Tarmac the whole way, no dirt track.
Return trips and other journeys
The return shuttle is booked the evening before with the caretaker. Youssef drops you at the terminal, allowing for check-in times. He is also available during your stay for outings: the medina, the Ourika Valley, the Agafay desert, the golf courses. Prices for those trips are agreed directly with him and depend on the destination and waiting time.
Taxi or rental car instead?
A taxi from the airport often costs as much or more once the haggling is done, with no guarantee about the state of the vehicle or the availability of a child seat. A rental car makes sense if you plan to explore beyond the region over several days, toward Essaouira or the High Atlas. For a stay centred on Marrakech and its surroundings, the shuttle plus outings with Youssef generally work out cheaper than rental, insurance and fuel combined.

Frequently asked questions
Does the price change with the number of passengers?
No. 300 MAD covers the journey, not the person. Whether there are two of you or six, the fare stays the same. That is precisely the advantage over a taxi.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Youssef tracks your flight's actual status. He adjusts his arrival at the airport and waits without charging extra. That is why we ask for the flight number rather than the scheduled time.
Can I pay in euros or by card?
Payment is in dirhams, in cash, directly to Youssef. There are ATMs at the airport in the arrivals hall if you do not have local currency yet.
Are child seats available?
Yes, child seats and boosters are provided at no charge. Give us the children's ages and weights when booking so the right equipment is fitted before you land.
Can I book the shuttle for a night flight?
Yes, whatever the hour. Late or very early flights are no problem, it is part of the service. The villa caretaker is on site 24/7 to welcome you on arrival.
